Weddings Case Study

“Five months on from our wedding day, we are still hearing the exact same feedback from our family and friends: “The day was beautiful… the food was UNBELIEVABLE!”

And honestly? We couldn’t agree more.

We genuinely still salivate every time we talk about “the food,” and if I was ever asked to choose my final meal, what we ate at our wedding would actually be it.

From the very beginning, food was one of the most important parts of our wedding vision. Our whole day had a festival-style theme woven through it, and we wanted the menu to feel like an experience in itself. Something that reflected us, encouraged conversation and connection, and brought people together in that perfect banquet-meets-street-food kind of way.

From the ideas phase right through to the wedding day (and honestly, even beyond it), Jan, Emily and G absolutely delivered everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we first met Jan, we felt welcomed with open arms. Nothing ever felt too much trouble. We were constantly encouraged to create a menu that reflected us, while still keeping within the priorities and budget that mattered most to us.

What stood out so much throughout the whole process was how personal everything felt. By the end of it all, it genuinely felt like we had become part of the Events by Dough family.

And then there was the menu itself…

Sticky Maple Beef-filled Bao Buns, BBQ baby back ribs, Chicken skewers with satay sauce, Winter slaw, Fig, pomegranate and feta rocket salad and a three-cheese mac and cheese that can only be described as absolutely to die for.

Outside of actually getting married- my happiest memory of the day was sitting back in my chair at the top table soaking up the view of all our loved ones enjoying the food, swapping plates, exchanging stories and very clearly enjoying every mouthful of their meals from our banquet style layout.

Not only was every single dish incredible, but the team also managed to cater beautifully for gluten-free dietary requirements without compromising on flavour, presentation or experience in the slightest.

And somehow, it still didn’t stop there.

The puddings included a Salted Caramel Cheesecake and a Chocolate Orange mousse that I genuinely don’t think will ever be beaten. Then came the evening food: stone oven baked pizzas that were an absolute dream and became a major hit with our evening guests too!

Beyond the food itself, what made the experience so special was the team behind it. Calm, warm, supportive and genuinely passionate about what they do, they helped create an atmosphere that felt relaxed, joyful and completely us. During a time when wedding planning can feel overwhelming, having a team you trust wholeheartedly is priceless.

We genuinely cannot recommend Events by Dough enough and will forever be grateful to Jan, Emily, G and the entire team for the love, support and collaboration they brought to our wedding.

You really did make our day unforgettable.”
